But Captain America does lose in the Civil War comic book saga.
Everyone lost because they were written horribly out of character. Reed Richards in particular has never recovered.

Besides, Robert Downey Jr is the most accomplished and highest paid actor in the Avengers movies...no way on this good ol Earth...is he going to lose to Chris Evans...you can bank on that, ha...

Ant man can just jump in the other team's mouths, scurry down their throats, and re-enlarge.

            The End.

Post Credits Scene of Stan Lee mopping up the mess.

He better re-enlarge to giant size, because if he re-enlarges to regular human size, that would kill him too, as he's not of superhuman strength...also...that would not work on the Vision.

                  NEVER underestimate Captain America.

I remember in Secret Wars, when Cap was asked to lead the heroes...Wolverine said..."I won't follow him! He's the least of us...he can't do anything!"

Thor stepped forward and said. "I WILL. This man I would follow into the gates of Hell."

He possesses courage and instills loyalty that Tony Stark could never match in a million years.

But Thor would have a better chance with Wolverine than Captain America at the gates of hell...

With Ant Man and Vision both big players in the Marvel Cinematic Universe now, I'd LOVE to see the classic Neal Adams drawn journey inside of the Vision come to life.

At the time it became horribly convoluted, and I absolutely agree... between the duelling writing of Mark Millar in Civil War, Bendis on Illuminati, and JMS and Dwayne McDuffie on Fantastic Four all offering different motivations and conflicting accounts, it was a bit of a mess (I think McDuffie's was the better overall motivation).

However... I think Jonathan Hickman really managed to take all of that contradiction and run with it on his tenure in Fantastic Four. Making a pretty incredible long form arc where we see Reed trying to overcome the disaster that was predicated in Civil War... against all odds. I personally really enjoyed the ride and fallout of Civil War in FF. Particularly making Valeria and the rest of the Future Foundation wild cards in the scenario to overcome those odds. Some of the threads are still playing out in Secret Wars right now, after Reed's part in New Avengers with the Illuminati.

one of my favourite moments was when Valeria found her Dad's secret room of equations and started working through the problem herself. Having a daughter... a toddler at that, who is much more intelligent than him (and filled with much more hubris) has been a fascinating dynamic.

Ha, ha, love your enthusiasm for the Cap team bash, Hector. Too funny, man. I think you would have been banned, had your PM inbox bombarded, and incited some mad nerd rage on some of the comic forums I frequent (less, and less). I would much rather see heroes vs villains, and as much as I agree the teams are lopsided, you and I both know they are going to make it an equal fight.
