As I recall, they were going to use Hydra in place of Nazis, just as the film eventually did. But I think by that point Fox Kids had gotten squimish about using any kind of guns, so it kind of made the whole thing pointless.

I remember seeing the design for Cap in Wizard magazine and thinking he looked king of Mike Wieringo-like...which was weird as Ringo never worked on Cap, to my knowledge. I was excited for it, but I can't say I was much of a fan of the Marvel/Saban style, relying on heavy black shadows. They always seemed to be moving independently of the characters, and I thought them very distracting on X-Men.

I have a couple of slides from the promo of the series. I'll have to search my other drives I have. Looked like it would have been really cool to see the show. Don't think it would have passed the PC test these days.
"When not too many people can see we're all the same
And because of all their tears,
Their eyes can't hope to see
              The beauty that surrounds them
              Isn't it a pity".

Saban produced a Thor demo with Fabio. It was one of the last shows there were attempting. I have the sizzle reel somewhere.

Thanks for this but now I know why it slipped my mind, it was not Marvel Comics's Thor.

I would have loved to watch. This also explains the tiny spark light up shield on the 90's action figure.

Well, I mean, it is. It's not a generic red-beard Thor. Fabio worked with Marvel and Saban. It's closer than the Thor from the Hulk movie.
