I saw these in person and honestly, the novelty wears off pretty quick. They only look good when you're standing directly in front of them. I understand a lot of work goes into them, but they're really not worth the money IMO.

I much prefer the sculpted comic book covers done by Code 3. Here's the X-Men and Spider-Man ones they did...

I'd never seen those Code 3 sculpted covers before. I know they did Star Wars ones, but these are pretty nifty.

The code 3 work looks like action figures coming out of a book. Looks very "plastic". If I want that I'd grab a copy of the Toyfare issue with Flatt's X-men on it.

Decoupage! My mom used to do this all the time when I was growing up. Her house is filled with landscapes, and wildlife pieces done in this format.

Now I wish she had done comic book covers! although I can only cringe at the amount of comic books she would have needed to cut up to do this back then (waaay before affordable colour copying).

I think these are terrific.

I remember an article in Amazing Heroes on this guy. Also the basis for Obsidian's secret identity of "Todd Rice".

they are nice...they use to do that with sports cards on the late 90's

I've made those before, but not so many layers. Stuff like that was popular in the 70's. It's very simple and super easy to do.
