    Swamp Thing lives...at my house!!

This custom masterpiece arrived yesterday. I am just in AWE. It's my favorite piece in my entire collection.

You are insane! That is awesome!!! I love it, man! Is it wearable? I'd go full costume for Halloween.

^Don't forget the visible zipper in the back.

Seriously, that's great. I thought the design of Swampy in the film was really solid. The movie just needed better editing to cover up the "costumeness" of it.

^There's a really long backstory about why that costume looked like it did...it wasn't the FX guy's fault at all. He originally contracted for 12 weeks, but they screwed around casting Swamp Thing so he ended up with only six weeks to sculpt and cast the whole thing. Then with a week to go the guy who was cast dropped out and was replaced with Dick Durock. So they had a suit built for a 6'2" muscular guy that suddenly had to fit a 6'6" lean guy. They literally had to cut the suit up and patch it together with carpet glue. Also, they tested the suit in water and it held up great, but the location swamp water was totally different and ate the suits up. They had to make new ones every few days.
In the end, it's amazing the thing even looked as good as it did.

            Side note:
Dick Durock and the late Patric Macnee, who died today, were together Imperious Leader on Battlestar Galactica.
