Sign the petition for The Amazing Spider-Man!

Personally I think this fantastic show is long overdue an official release. We finally got Batman 1966 and now it's time to get Nicholas Hammonds (1970's) The Amazing Spider-Man released. Please sign and share the petition.

Why are you asking Buena Vista to release something they don't have in their library?

I'm not asking them anything. It's something I found on The Amazing Spider-Man Facebook page. Even if Buena Vista don't own it, I'm sure the petition will find its way to the ones that do.

It's interesting how slow the market has been to pick up all the Spider-man iterations from real life to animated base shows. I sometimes consider it a miracle that the 1967 series was not only released but restored and re-mastered with a beautiful picture and sound. Thank God it was considered among the first pieces of merchandise when the initial film was being made.

Who owns the rights, Columbia/Sony? I know they had distribution rights at one time. And of course, they have the Spidey movie rights. I think if anyone else owned it, we'd seen the Hammond series over a decade ago.

                Ok. Here's what's coming...

While we love your passion, Buena Vista has no distribution rights for this series.

...and maybe they'll talk about other Marvel products.

CBS produced the show. Go to this FB page

And talk to them. Build up a Spidey TV FB page and they'll notice,

My guess is Marvel is the actual holdup. They love to play the victim, when the truth is they either don't like the deals in place or they don't want something in the market that dilutes the current character brand. And yes, Marvel looks at most of their older stuff as embarrassing.

...change.org has no clout unless it's an insane volume of people.

Thought this may have had more signatures than this by now.

To be honest this show is pretty brutal to watch. But marvel still hasn't released the Spider friends or the 1981 solo series. Not to mention the 1967 or 1978 Fantastic Four.

Not sure about the 1967 Fantastic Four, but everything else you have mentioned has been released. In the UK anyway. Though the Spider-Man 81 series was changed to 'Spider-Man 5000', but it's the complete 1981 solo series all the same.
