^I know better. But the promo art is cool, and slightly cheeky, which is NOT what I get from that trailer and anything else we've seen. The image I posted above is the darkest piece of the collection.
Does this look like an impossible pose? Batman is in front of Superman, yet Superman's arm is in front of Batman's shoulder but then Batman's left hand is behind Supes arm and still Batman's elbow is in front of Supes body.
I feel like Batman's left arm should be behind Superman's body at least.
^It looks like somebody tried to ape Jim Lee and Frank Miller at the the same time. If Superman were floating or standing on something above Batman, it kinda makes sense, but as it stands, it does look kinda weird, because of Bat's left elbow, as you said.
I agree, Hedji. When I was a kid and even as a teenager, Batman and Superman always worked TOGETHER. I can't remember which "brilliant" writer or editor decided it would be better to them to be "frenemies."
sigpic Oh then, what's this? Big flashy lighty thing, that's what brought me here! Big flashy lighty things have got me written all over them. Not actually. But give me time. And a crayon.
Well, it actually started when Batman formed the Outsiders to do what the JLA refused too. They had a rift in World's Finest during this time, but buried the hatchet in WF #300. Then of course, Frank Miller ran with the notion, and from then on, Batman and Superman had to start out as enemies at the very least.

It's like trying to figure out whose fault the nuclear war was.

As much as I hate to admit it, you probably have to blame Mike W. Barr. He was the first to posit maybe Supes and Bats wouldn't gee-haw about everything...beyond a one-off World's Finest where they are manipulated into fighting.
i still think john hamm would make a great superman or batman for that matter ,and i know warners were looking at him ,just wonder if his rehab problem halted that ,shame if it did and im glad to hear hes recovered and wish him luck and all the best in the future
I'd like to see something along the lines of the Animated World's Finest movie. I am worried about how far up Miller's hinder this movie will be, I really don't want Sin City in my Superheroes.
