Doggone those are nice! I wish they could find a way of making the crotch joint (for lack of a better term) less obvious/square, but overall those are cool! Might have to try and snag a couple of those...
I just looked at the EE page and noticed these are put out by Kotobukiya, which explains a lot as far as how nice they look! I don't think I've ever seen KB put out anything I DIDN'T love!

sigpic Oh then, what's this? Big flashy lighty thing, that's what brought me here! Big flashy lighty things have got me written all over them. Not actually. But give me time. And a crayon.
I want all these, and if they don't make Aquaman, it'll be a real bummer to the collection IMHO.

I hate to bash the guys that make the "other Kenner Jumbos" (Gentle Giant/Star Wars) but the ArtFX ones make so much more sense to me---I like the 8-inch scale better than 12-inch, and ArtFX're punching up the sculpts a tad.
Granted, if GG altered their Star Wars Kenner facial sculpt that much, I'd complain (because of nostalgia reasons), but the Super Powers are more about the character and the era than the actual toy-nostalgia for me... so ArtFX Super Powers wins on many levels---one additional level being "PRICE"
Where they might lose?
I wasn't joking with what I said about Aquaman---that'll really, really stink if ArtFX don't eek out at least the whole first wave.

I remember reading that the visible "joints" are intentional. They're meant to replicate the look of the original action figures.
If you look closely there's even simulated knee articulation. (Most visible on Batman) It's also why they went with fabric capes.

They made them that way on purpose. These are statues, they aren't articulated. They sculpted the appearance of joints on the figures as an homage to the original action figures.
I really like these, but is it just me, or are their heads just a TAD too tiny? It's the opposite of the ReMego problem.
Chris
Yeah, in taking a closer look, the heads do seem to be a smidge smaller than the rest of the figure, but with the quality of the sculpt and the attention to detail in the paint jobs, I can overlook that.
