Wow, that is beautiful Kirby work!
SPOILER....
Half of the crew ends up dead, so how would you expect a weekly newspaper series to be successful? I think the movie ends with 3 people left alive?Comment

You can see a bunch of nice scans of the full colour Sunday pages here (though some pages are in French):

Thanks for posting that. Lots of right click-save for me.
Why, oh why, does Disney hate this property? Disney Hollywood Studios so desperately needs a Black Hole ride (where they sell this comic in the gift shop).
Eisner, why don't you step down... I'll run your corporation.Comment

Disney did announce that a remake of "The Black Hole", but it's been listed as "in development" ever since "Tron Legacy" came out.
In my opinion Marvel isn't fantastic at publishing collections from their archives, but we're also in the golden age of reprint collections now, particularly for Kirby's work, so I'd be surprised if this didn't get collected at some point. Especially if they ever get around to actually filming a new movie.

FYI - Here's an article I found on the remake (note this is from 2013):

Here's a really cool article I just came across - it's The Kirby Collector speaking with inker Mike Royer, and they're asking him specifically about inking Kirby's Black Hole comic strip.
Back for its fourth printing, this colossal 240-page trade paperback reprints issues #1-9 of The Jack Kirby Collector, the highly acclaimed magazine for Kirby fans! Included are the low-distribution early issues, the Fourth World theme issue (#6), and the out-of-print Fantastic Four theme issue (#9)! Also included is a new special section with over 30 pieces of Kirby art never before published, including Jack's uninked pencils from The Prisoner, New Gods, Fantastic Four, Captain America, Thor, Hunger Dogs, Jimmy Olsen, SHIELD, and more! Learn behind-the-scenes secrets through interviews with Kirby, Joe Simon, Mike Royer, Mark Evanier, Steve Sherman, Joe Sinnott, and other Kirby collaborators. This volume features a new introduction by Mark Evanier, and page after page of rare Kirby art, much in its original pencil form. Celebrate the life and career of comics' most prodigious imagination: Jack Kirby!Comment

I didn't know about this series... was it more a Lost in Space type thing on the other side of the Black Hole?
