New Batman v. Superman IMAX posters

I haven't been thrilled by what I've seen so far, but these IMAX posters are fantastic.

Normally I'm quite content to be agreeable with everyone here, but on these posters, I gotta dissent! Looking at them from a graphic designer's eye, they are perhaps the most wretched "hero" posters I've seen cranked out in a long while.

It's really starting to sink in that it wouldn't be far off if this long-awaited film's poster text read like:

Summer 2016...

The greatest superhero team in comicbook history begins drafting members.

And it's two core founders?

They really don't like each other.





Here's hoping this battle will be fun to watch.

It should read like a comedy...

"One's an alien with god-like powers. The other's a depressed sociopath who likes to play dress-up. Together they're a wacky zany mess!"

I accidentally posted a message meant for the trailer thread, so I'm going to move it into that thread.

As far as the posters...they fit the tone of the movie, per the trailer. Not my cup of tea, but it seems there is going to be some smear campaigning at Superman at the very least.

They are visually striking, and I'll give them credit for thinking outside of the box, but again it doesn't really speak to the epic meeting of icons that this movie should be. But they aren't making that movie, they are making this one, so I think it works together well.

This is a trope that is really getting tiresome. Iron Man vs. Thor. Kirk vs. Spock (2009). You know they're gonna end up friends, but they have to have the obligatory clash before coming together. But really, nothing new here.
