JLA #219-220: The bat-crap true origin of Black Canary!

I was invited over to Ryan Daly's new Flowers & Fishnets podcast to discuss the infamously insane "secret" origin of the Earth-One Black Canary from Justice League of America #219-220, from 1983. It's got the JLA, the JSA, the Thunderbolt, TWO Johnny Thunders (because no one wanted the first one!), and the most mind-bending, head-scratching, incestuous revelation in comics history! We rip this thing to shreds, but we still love it!

Give it a listen. Ryan has a great show.

Some continuity issues are best left unexplained.

Thank goodness Crisis took care of that in a couple of years.

Yeah, Marv Wolfman suggested that. I wonder if he was setting up Crisis as a necessity, just by bringing this up?
