    Reversal of Fortune

So now we know who Reverse Flash is... any theories on Harrison?

Is he Eobard Thawne from the future... (and thus the descendent of Eddie Thawne, which is why he didn't kill him)

Is he Flash's biggest "fan", trying to "help" him become a better hero (ALA Hunter Zoloman)

Is he Barry himself from the future?

Is this all a ruse, and Eddie eventually becomes the REAL Reverse Flash?

Looks like we get a clear look at his costume (never noticed his belt prior)... CUSTOMS CHALLENGE! 8)

I still think there is going to be a swerve of some sort, Eddie has been conspicuous by his absence lately. Wells is a goofball of some sort, just get the feeling there is more to this than the obvious.

If I ignore what they're showing on the surface and just look at it from a story structure standpoint, Wells is in a Reverse Flash outfit (possibly for treatment for his partial paralysis) but is not THE Reverse Flash. At least not the one we come to know in comic lore. I think Eddie is absolutely getting primed to come out, because he's the one character that knows everything but remains suspiciously detached from the story thread. He's neatly buried in the background, perhaps to make people forget about him while all of this suspicion surrounds the players in the forefront. Well, that's a scripting device. It's a way to distract from the real zinger. I think Wells remains too relative to the entire foundation of the series because he knows plenty about the future, as if he might have come from the future. So his observations and informed looks help drive the suspense. He also serves as a kind of pseudo "Professor X" to the team. He's a little too central to the whole concept to just reduce him to a villain they suddenly have to chase. He's too critical to the chemistry.

I think Barry is himself in the future, but the DNA sampling may be a plant. I think that is there to simply throw them off the path of figuring out who the Reverse Flash is. And perhaps, there's a genetic code both he and Barry share that can not be distinguished through traditional measures? Hard to know. I view that as another false directive meant to throw off the fans. It's a nicely written script. Love the show.

I'm still hoping Wells is Rip Hunter guiding Barry to his necessary role, whatever that may be. Wells justifies his ruthlessness because of the need for Barry to save the multiverse at some point.

I've brought this up before but they have never mentioned it again on the show, but what about Wells' wife? Whatever role he's playing in this, hero, villain or catalyst, the mention of is wife's accidental death was clearly bothered him. I don't know what the hell is coming next, and that makes this the best television show period. We have all these decades of history and lore on the Flash and yet we cannot figure out who really is he man in yellow, or what connection Barry's father has to all of this.

After killing Simon Stagg, Java and throwing Eiling to the Gorilla, I don't buy that Wells will turn out to be any heroic guy like Rip Hunter. He's got an agenda and not afraid of killing to achieve it. I don't think he's Zoom, but he's up to no good.

I'm still wondering if there isn't some John Fox in him as well. There are so many ways they could go, and honestly they'd all be pretty satisfying. They've really set this up VERY well.

Okay, now my brain hurts. Most have probably already seen this, but all theories are pretty much toast. I don't have a clue what's going to happen now, and that's television magic.

Cool, glad to see another Arrow/Flash crossover. A Lance West cop teamup should be fun. After watching that I'm more unsure than ever. Guessing Grodd is controlling Eiling.

^^ What? Eddie shooting cops? I was wondering if he was Grodd mind controlled too. Was there something in there to indicate Shipp was going to take a dark turn?

^Yeah. It could be Grodd. I didn't see anything with Shipp going bad. I hope they don't pull that one. I can't see them going there.
