Hey, remember a month or so ago when we were all getting excited for this new DC crisis to set the universe right again and bring back a lot of the aspects we grew up with while maintaining some modern touches? PSYCHE. Yeah, DC and WB can go bankrupt and burn the freakin ground. I would much rather prefer they just stop publishing comics completely than to go forward with this garbage.
I almost had a psychic girlfriend but she dumped me before we met.

If anyone here believes in psychokinesis, please raise my hand.

If completists who hate these changes would stop buying the books...eventually DC would get the message. If you like the books and buy them, fine. That's your choice, and more power to you. But if you really dislike what they are doing, then vote with your dollar. Or don't, as the case may be.

I know in my heart of hearts, SOME day, this will all turn around. It can't stay like this. And we'll all look back and say "Remember when Superman wore just a T-shirt? That sucked!"

You're right Chris, it'll all cycle around again. We lived through "electric" Superman (blue & red!), Azreal armor Batman, and leather jacket Wonder Woman. We had the John Fox Flash. Kyle Green Lantern & Spectre Hal. Green Arrow Robin Hood version both 50s and 80s. And long before that was "mod" Diana Prince, and Rainbow, Zebra, and other Bat costumes.
I guess I'm just really tired of the new costume being passed off as something to be cheered at. It can be changed without all the hype... Just look at Marvel's Captain America, he's got the modern military look of the movies now and it kinda just happened, but it's not awful, missing the little ear wings and scales. Same with Iron Man, Thor, Hawkeye...I don't recall a press release on those changes. Granted they're not radically different from the originals, but DC acts like this is news. Guess it works since we are talking about it, but I don't spend my money here anymore.

My age of comic reading is long past. Oh sure, it'll change again. It's never permanent. But the scope of what I enjoy is deeply rooted in the olden days.

            ^I'm with you.

The thing that kills me with BOTH Marvel and DC is their PR machines running 24/7 trying to convince us that the crap they're putting out are the best comics ever.

The old comics didn't need any hype...they were just GOOD.

This is why I collect old comics now. Freeeeek the new garbage, the kiddies and the idiots who hand DC their wallets can have it....plenty of good stuff in the back issues bin....I can live in the past, it's happier there.

I did this and DC didn't blink:-( I had complete runs of all the bat titles going since the late 80s/early 90s and it was hard to pull the plug. I just got tired of reading crap and reboots of crap.

There's more than a lifetime of good stories to read that are bound in volumes such as the Marvel Masterworks.

Stan's approach was completely different. His style of hype was simply presenting stories with enthusiasm, and more importantly a sense of fun. He even joked when he knew an issue wasn't up to par, saying "Hey, they can't all be good."

I don't recall Stan ever using the word "badass" to describe the Mighty Marvel Heroes. And they were better for it.

Yeah, pretty much all I buy is Batman '66. I haven't gotten any Scooby-Doo Team-Ups in a while, so I need too. As for the rest of it...we'll be lucky if the next generation even knows who these characters are b/c DC is just ruining them!

Yes, I can see I believe that it's magic
If your mission is magic your love will shine true."

Good point! I'll stick to old school. I've already gotten my 2 year old grand-niece into Wonder Woman. She'll know who the real one is!
