Funny, the Big Two were made off-limits several years ago, which is why Smallville was ended. Feels sort of like they're, I dunno, hedging their BvS bet by creating a separate JLA -at the same time. Almost like they're lining people up in case they need to replace something that doesn't pan out.

A resounding HELL NO.
10 years of him NOT wearing the Superman suit...then on the very last episode of the series, the series finale...for one or two seconds...and from far, far, away...in semi darkness...the dude wears it...well...screw him.
Tom Welling certainly had the clout to tell the producers...you know what? I wanna wear the suit in the last season...but he didn't it...because he thought he was too good for that...wearing a silly Holloween costume.
Damn, I despise and hate Smallvile with a passion.

I loved Smallville, quirks and inconsistencies and all. having tom back to play Superman would be awesome, as long as he hasn't completely let himself go and gotten all fat and bloatedComment

Welling was a GREAT Superman! Even Chris Reeve picked him as his successor. He'd be perfect to appear on The Flash or Arrow! Please God make it happen!!

Having Welling appear on The Flash, even in an alternate universe, would be an excellent way of quasi-linking the upcoming Supergirl series to the Arrow/Flashverse---even though they're on different networks...sigpic Oh then, what's this? Welling didn't have the clout. Smallville was legally forbidden any usage of Superman because of the separate movie rights and the Salkinds ongoing Suoerboy lawsuit. That's why this development is so interesting. Like a possible Joker on Gotham, WB is loosening the usage rules.Comment
