I watched this yesterday and, since I liked the original version of it, I wound up loving the added footage at the end. My question is this: if an independent little filmmaker like Bat in the Sun can produce stuff this good, why can't the studios, with their HUGE budgets, do the same?

Emeraldknight was referring to the quality--- not the fun factor alone. And, I agree with him----technology has VASTLY leveled the playing field and is now allowing more and more indy filmmakers to give the bigger dogs an honest run for the money.

Exactly. You'll never see a DCU/SW universe crossover like this, but, you never know if you could ever see a MCU/SW crossover since they are now both owned by Disney.

And I was referring to the technical, costuming and VFX aspects of the piece, which are all just freakin' spectacular for a project done on a, by Hollywood blockbuster standards, shoestring budget. I'd pay good money at the B.O. to see a Batman cowl look that good on the big screen. And Supes, even though he was in it for about six seconds, still looked awfully damn nice!
