I love that they went with the Morrison League look. Aquaman never looked more Badass.
Definitely a more cinematic look than the orange scaly shirt, though, I do LIKE the classic look. Aquaman has come a long way in recent years. To some, he will always be a joke. To me, he was always one of the best.
My main problem here (other than the hacky Sin City tone that seems to be creeping in) is that I look at that poster and not know who it is. Marketing the Justice League as an event the way they are here, doesn't work with this one. I'd think Game of Thrones.
Taking the colour out of DC comics characters makes no sense to me.

The thing that amazes me is there is no synergy amongst the various parts of DC/WB....Geoff Johns and others have spent the better part of 5 years trying
to shake the stink off Aquaman and make the blond-haired, orange-shirted version believable as a badass marquee player for DC...only to do a live action version
of the hook-handed (albeit without the hook) Aquaman. Pick one and stick with it, that's all I ask.
Think OUTSIDE the Box! For the BEST in Repro & Custom Packaging!
Looks in keeping with the typical "lets make the costume dark and gritty". Toned down colour palette a la Superman's & Spidey's last costume. I don't find it horrible. Very much the Morrison Aquaman with less colour.
And what's wrong with tattoos? Samoan culture is rich with traditional tattoo culture. Who is to say that in the DC film universe the Samoans got the idea from the Atlantians? Yeah, I know Samoa is in the Pacific but we are taking about a kid that gets hit by lightning and hits insto-puberty, an alien orphan that can fly, etc, etc ...
I guess I am over the fact that I will NEVER see the Super-Friends costumes and colours in the DC\Warner films. I am over it and have moved on. Looking forward to seeing Jason in action.

I agree with this 100%. As a Marvel guy, I probably know less than everyone else here about Aquaman. So, not knowing the character's history, I'm fine with the "badarse" look. But without telling me, I would not have guessed he was Aquaman. Also, the Sin City tone looks more like a bad photoshop. If it didn't come from Snyder, I would have assumed it was bad fan art.
All that said, I look forward to seeing him on screen.
