    issues vs. trade paperbacks?

How do you prefer to read a story? Buy the issues month to month or just wait for the tpb?

I've gone mostly-digital. Just no more room for floppies or trades! Full up.

I stopped buying comics years ago so if something strikes my fancy or looks interesting I just but the TPB

Digital and trades for me on new stuff. Digital saves you from having to make regular visits to a comic shop and nothing sells out so you can buy when you are ready to read whether you want to do it month by month or wait until a arc is completed and read all at once. Trades are more compact and durable than individual issues and often if not always less expensive.

I still buy Marvel Masterworks and DC Archives, although DC hasn't published one in several months.

I went Digital with what little I get now. DCnU made me stop reading there lineup. When Comixology does there monthly sale of old issues for 99cents I try and load up with them.

Plus they offer free comic books.

Still buy monthly issues for some of the series I collect, whereas I wait for the TPB for others.
Haven't gone digital, and don't plan to. Just love the feel and texture of the real books.

It's been really weird for me... my wife always points out that when we first met, it seemed like the world would end if I didn't make it to the comic shop on Wednesday. Now... I can go weeks without stepping into one. The thing that sends me to the comic shop nowadays is whenever a new ReMego is out.

Every time I step into a comic book store, I feel overwhelmed. I've been out of the hobby for years. There are so many interesting looking titles I don't know where to start. I'm just sick of Marvel. DC and its 52 move never did it for me. But Dynamite has some great properties and I look for other buys within my budget.

Digital and trades as well. Mostly the Dark Horse Conan collections, Image's Invincible Ultimate Compendiums, and some Red Sonja stuff here and there.
"It's sad that governments are chiefed by the double tongues. There is iron in your words of death for all Comanche to see, and so there is iron in your words of life. No signed paper can hold the iron. It must come from men. The words of Ten Bears carries the same iron of life and death. It is good that warriors such as we meet in the struggle of life... or death. It shall be life."

Whether it's old or new stuff, I will look for the trade/collections, I only buy single issues when there is no other option.
