FWIW - the Miles Morales murmurs have begun...

I think the game plan is for Parker to reveal his ID in Civil War and then reboot with Morales in a stand alone series.

If Simmons was approached, and Spidey is confirmed for Civil War, then that could mean Maguire as adult Peter.

I wouldn't have a problem with that at all! Never read the Miles Morales books, but it would give them a new direction to go. And his suit looks cool.

I may be the odd man out but I'd be happy if all the Marvel characters DID NOT share the same cinematic universe.

The one issue I had with that very well made video is that they made Spidey into some kind of damsel in distress...almost useless...in need of others.

Spidey doesn't need anybody to rescue him...hell...Spidey single handily has beaten the X-Men and the Fantastic Four...all by his lonesome self.

I'm still betting on Maguire for Civil War Avengers-related, and the NuSpidey for Sony solo films. That works for the MCU chronology and is very clean record-keeping.

Marvel has said they will not use the other two "Spider-Men". They will cast a new and younger Peter Paker Spider-Man for Civil War. After that it is up in the air. For the solo movies they could go with Miles Morales or Miguel O'Hara.

^From a movie perspective, that really doesn't make sense. I stopped believing Marvel around 2002. They lie their arses off constantly, but fanboy media always give them a pass for fear of losing access.

So if they're going to cast a young Parker, and also a young Morales, that guarantees the Sony film to be seen as another derivative like ASM, for the Civil War Spidey will be the new Spidey since he connects to the MCU. A young, white Spidey and a young, brown Spidey is asking for social media warfare if the brown Spidey is relegated to no Avengers/MCU involvement. I mean, that's ghettoing a character...unless it's Spidey 2099. That could be a way to seed for an Earth X project.

If they announce whose cast as Spidey for Civil War, then they're killing the surprise when he unmasks in the film. If they kept it a secret until release, using only a double for Spidey and shooting the reveal in a private soundstage, that would be interesting. It would be near-impossible, but a good twist.

But if they go straight to Morales for Civil War,then you spend the entire Sony film explaining where's Parker. That might work.

They have a real payoff with Maguire as people are already invested in him as Parker and would love to see him alongside RDJ and Evans. He can then act as a bridge by playing adult Peter in the Sony films.
