If you didn't think Iron Man 3 was a bad movie...

...holy crapola. I remember watching the house copter-attack and thinking it visually felt familiar, but I associated it with Last Boy Scout, which Black also wrote.

THAT'S what Iron Man 3 needed! Joe Pesci!

Here's what's fascinating for me... I saw the director's influence while I was watching this movie, but oddly the association (and similarity) with LW2 is strangely not caught in this examination. Both movies have these extravagant scenes where homes collapse off a hillside. When I was sitting in the theater and saw Stark's home collapse, I remember saying, " Yep. This reads like a Lethal Weapon film."

Iron Man 3 is the one Marvel film I don't own. My son was so incensed over the Mandarin thing, it's become a running gag at our house, and we just haven't bought it.

I never thought of the Lethal Weapon 3 connection, but those films are pretty much a blur.

            I actually liked Lethal 3...
Iron Man 3? What can I say? Terrible, just terrible. It felt like the Robert Downey show, trying to be funny and failing at every step. The Iron Man movies went downhill fast. They sure ruined a great villain, I was so looking forward to the Mandarin.

I want to see Downey on an exploding toilet, cause that's what IM 3 felt like...
