    So proud of my son.

My 13 year-old son and 7 year-old daughter were playing Lego Batman 3: Beyond Gotham. They were in the Fortress of Solitude level. I heard my son say, "Hey Dad, it's that giant book Superman writes in". Sure enough, it was that giant metal journal Superman jots down his deepest thoughts in, via Heat Vision. All those old Silver Age stories I read to him as a kid stuck, I guess. I don't think I've ever been prouder.

What a great revelation. Not surprising though. You're a tremendous person Chris. I'm sure plenty has rubbed off on that young man. I've seen allot when I've had the pleasure to meet him.

Fun. My kids every once in a while surprise me with something like that, too. Usually Star Trek or Star Wars related.
                It's all good!

That's awesome. Your son's knowledge of Superman is likely greater than mine. Growing up, it was pretty much all Superman the Movie, Superfriends, and Power Records that shaped my idea of Superman. Chris, are there any good compilations of Superman silver age stories you'd recommend as essential education for a guy like me?

^There are some nice themed tradepaperbacks out there, like Superman: The Bottle City of Kandor, Superman vs. Brainiac, etc. But those "Superman in the 50s/60s/70s" books are really great for snapshots of the character's evolution. Plus, there's the Showcase books. Those are chock-full of fun.
