Batman artist Norm Breyfogle had a stroke on Dec 17, 2014. Paralysis on his left side which is the side/hand he draws with. Just wanted to give a heads up to any fans that may be here on the museum. He has no insurance and is facing a long time of rehab to basically get everyday functions back like walking. If anyone is interested here is a link to the fundraiser online. I for one will be donating after the holidays are up on January 2nd. I may be putting some figures in the Marketplace for sale with a Breyfogle header. If I do, all proceeds from the sale will go to his fund. He's one of my favorite Batman artists in the last 20+ years:



Made Batman darker if that was possible. Incredible artist that also basically got blacklisted/blackballed by DC. There is an article on line about this. Soon as I find it I will post a link. Anyway, if you are a fan and you can donate please do.

Norm is a great guy whom I've met on numerous occasions. He's a fellow Michigander. In my opinion is second only to Neal Adams when it comes to definitive Batman artist. Thank you Blue Meanie for bring attention to this cause.

Wow, I had no idea. Breyfogle was on of my favorites as well. He brought a unique energy and look to Batman...not an easy task. He's definitely at the top of great Bat-artists...which are consequently the best artists in comics.

Here's a sketch I got from Norm and Doug Wheatley in the late 80s. Norm roughed out the sketch and Wheatley finished Batman and Norm finished Wolverine. So sad to hear about his situation.
