Yeah, McSnurtle the Turtle! I forgot to mention that. At the end I said "Golden Glider" and my wife and son, who are both pretty well-versed in DC lore said, "WHO?!?"
They are going DEEP in the DCU history with this show. I love it.

I also love the fact that the CW show has passed over the CBS Flash show in villains.Leave a comment:

I love the "McSnurtle the Turtle" a nod to The Terrific Whatzit Merton McSnurtle.
While Fastback is unaware of it, his uncle McSnurtle was the Weird War II-era hero, the Terrific Whatzit. The Terrific Whatzit had super speed, super strength, and could fly. He earned his name from the fact that he removed his shell when in costume, so no one could tell what he was—which made it extremely easy to keep his identity secret. The Terrific Whatzit is retired now, but his nephew carries on the fight against crime. - See more at: Flash Those Who Ride The LightningLeave a comment:

I enjoyed tonight's a lot. I like how they touched on Firestorm (or I guess it's F.I.R.E.S.T.O.R.M.).Leave a comment:

^The Pied Piper. They showed him in the preview at the end.

This episode seemed to fully embrace the super heroy aspects of the show more than before. I guess their success is showing them they can just go with it. I'm glad to see it. I don't watch the Flash to have a realistic gritty crime drama.
SPOILERS
Some great nods, like the Hartleys PNGwyne mentioned above, and some iconic Silver Age moments, like this!

Well, I certainly hope my DVR recorded this. I didn't check before I left the house.
There's something that's been bugging me about the wells/Reverse Flash angle and maybe it's just me. He really does seem despondent about losing his wife, it seems to carry a weight with him. Maybe the reason he's so fanatical about Barry getting better and stronger is that he plays a role in saving her at some point in the past? That would explain a lot of his freak out moments if he actually came back in time to train Barry to be able to save the woman he loves. It;s probably nothing. They may just gloss over that whole part of the story now.Leave a comment:
