Didn't they mention Boomerang was former Australian military? He didn't have much of an accent, but I guess that's better than him sounding like Paul Hogan.
Two really fun episodes. Both casts shined and it was just an enjoyable experience. Like others, I think it would be fun for Hal Jordan to be added to the mix.
Okay, I finally got to watch these a few minutes ago. I know there haven't been many, but these are the best DC based television programs ever made. Grant Gustin is awesome in his role, and his interactions and dialogue with Ollie are outstanding. They always manage to throw in some obscure references or nods, and that shows that CW respects the source material while knowing they have to alter it for live action. Boomerang was such a badass villain. They really turned him into something cool instead of the comic version that looks like Carrot Top(pre roids). It would have been a nice touch for him to have a scarf with his trench, you know a manly scarf.
Now I have a question about brodcast quality. I know, at least in my area, CW does not offer HD, so my screen ratio is sometime off. Is there anywhere this is shown in a wideer screen and HD? Also, does anyone have or noticed sound quality issues with both shows? I have some problems with the sound mix between background noise and dialogue.
Anyway, I couldn't have geeked out any more than I did tonight/this morning. I fully expect to top that when they start introducing others like Atom and Firestorm. Great crossover event and two really good series I can watch regularly. Prior to these the only television I was experiencing was Walking Dead and Agents of Shield, which are extremely hit or miss. I'm glad I found some stability in quality.

And, I have a theory about Wells. I know some think it's Rip Hunter, but I don't think he would be as subversive. Some think he's the Reverse Flash, but that doesn't calculate with me, too old and not the same build. I think Harrison Wells is...
Metron
His wheelchair is a nod to Metron's Mobius chair, and he's also a time traveller or can bounce back and forth in some capacity. He's also a super genius who figures out the solution to every scientific problem in an instant. Without running a single test, he deduced that he could just flash the stage light rig from Van Halen's 1984 Jump video to cure Barry. Nobody human is that smart that quickly.
I know I'm probably waaaaaay off, but it's fun to throw these out there to get shot down by comic experts far smarter than myself.

Hey Scott,
I get the CW in HD and have not experienced the video and audio problems that you have, but I understand. For years, my Fox affiliate came in so dark some shows were very hard to watch.
I don't think Metron is a bad guess. I've heard others postulate the same thing. I guessed Rip Hunter after the first episode so I'll ride that band wagon, but Wells' amoral or evil actions (killing Stagg in the 2nd episode being the first) has had me second guessing myself.
He no doubt is guiding Barry toward some destiny so he definitely has knowledge of the future. I don't buy that he is future Barry, but Metron, Hunter Zoloman, Abra kadabra, Wave Rider, Pariah, Vandal Savage aor another member of the Linear Men all have some merit.
The only thing about Metron is introducing the New Gods is a pretty high concept on a TV budget, but I'm sure they could work around it.
Wells might just be a character created for the show, but I kind of doubt it, considering all the other DC references.
I just think that the mystery is very fun, keeping everyone guessing.
All four DC shows are must watch for me. I hope Constantine gets renewed. It'd be cool if there were more overt ties between Gotham and the other shows.
