Great shot. I still love that costume. It's easy to forget he had the Spidey-head belt buckle. I guess that was a nod to the Spidey-signal projector from the comics.

I remember these as a kid and thinking it was life and death stuff. Loved Spider man as a a kid.

I completely agree Andy...it's really nice looking, yet has that "homemade" feel to it as it should, and I absolutely LOVE the dark eye lenses. They have a very creepy insect like look, which I think he should have.

I also really like the look of the belt. It lends a real functional aspect. As a kid, I always thought it made it more realistic.

You know, that's an excellent point...in many scenes of him climbing up and down walls the wires are visible attached to that belt, but that's okay. REAL spiders weave a safety line as they crawl along surfaces in case they fall or are blown off...so that is completely plausible that he would do that.

                  Me neither...

This, Spider-Man and His Amazing Friends, the other Spider-Man cartoon from 1980, and the 1990's cartoon. NONE of them have been released.

What a cool photo. Love it Dwayne! I wonder how much Nicholas Hammond was actually in the tights or if it was mostly just stuntmen.

According to the book, Age of TV Heroes, stuntman Fred Waugh was in the costume more than Hammond, especially as the series rolled along.

I think most of it was stuntman Fred Waugh. (edit.. whoops, Chris beat me to it.)

I wonder who came up with the weird way Spidey moved...Hammond or Waugh? I've heard it described as demented mime.

Though I haven't seen it in years, I always liked the Electric Company Spidey, lol.

I think the best costume ever was the Electric Company Spidey. Just my personal favorite.
