    Spider-Man '67 cartoons--what?!

I finally got the Spidey'67 cartoons dvd set.

I began watching them and fondly recalled many episodes, minus the padding used in syndication.

Then I get to seasons 2 & 3 and--the Bakshi stuff threw me for a loop, I do not remember these & the change in style. The loss of comic-book foes is a detriment IMO.

And honestly, I'd rather watch proper Rocket Robin Hood cartoons then see Spidey inserted into some of them.

    What do other fans think?
WANTED: Dick Grayson SI trousers; gray AJ Mustang horse; vintage RC Batman (Bruce Wayne) head; minty Wolfman tights; mint Black Knight sword; minty Launcelot boots; Lion Rock (pale) Dracula & Mummy heads; Lion Rock Franky squared boots; Wayne Foundation blue furniture; Flash Gordon/Ming (10") unbroken holsters; CHiPs gloved arms; POTA T2 tan body; CTVT/vintage Friar Tuck robes, BBP TZ Burgess Meredith glasses.

They ran out of money. Bakshi was brought when he was a kid and told to cut/paste Rocket backdrops. It's a giant psychedelic hodgepodge, but I some of it is visually amazing.

The Origin and Kingpin episodes were produced for S2, and I think that season has a better look than most of S1. But the S3 stuff gets seriously crazy.

Due to CanCon laws here (you have to play shows with Canadian content for a certain amount of time every day) absolutely every Canadian person of a certain age knows all about "funky sky Spider-Man cartoons" because the voice cast is Canadian.

I kinda love them, they're weird but really take me back. Especially love the weird redraw of Mysterio.

I more remember the Bakshi episodes and the psychedelic imagery than S1. Loved it and certainly laid a heavy impression on me in how much I love abstracts and wild eye candy as a kid. Always loved the Bakshi style and still do.
