This is one of THE FINEST covers I have ever seen. It's already gone beyond what I can afford. If I could, I would definitely bid on this because it goes to an awesome cause. It helps out Comic Industry professionals that are having a hard time with either health insurance, bills, housing etc. Jerry Ordway is one of the nicest people you will ever meet...now he's just taken it to a whole 'nother level with this great cover he has done for a great cause. And to think, this is a guy currently locked in a contract with DC who won't use him because they consider his work too "old fashioned" looking for their crappy New 52 universe.
Jerry deserves so much better. He is one of the most talented people who ever worked in comics. -
Its homage to the page 1 splash to X-Men 2 by Jack Kirby, or it it borrows a lot from that composition.Comment

Always loved Ordway's stuff since issue #1 of All-Star Squadron...and those were just inks!
He seems like a great guy to boot.
