Guardians of the Galaxy end credits (spoilers)

Okay, who thinks they might be serious about doing ANOTHER Howard the Duck film?

at this point, Disney owns Marvel, so could we even see a Duckberg inhabited by Donald and Uncle Scrooge, or is that taking it too far?

Do you think the Howard in the Marvel cinematic universe is like Rocket... an experiment in evolution? (we had the Collector... will it be revealed that the High evolutionary is behind Rocket?)

or should they just hand over Howard to the animation division or Pixar like they did Big Hero Six?

I was so happy to see Howard. WAUGH!

I took it more as a nod to Disney, Marvel and Star Wars and the fact that their all under the same house now.

Oh I didn't take it has anything more than a nod to the past. Marvel has entirely too many characters to harvest without having to juggle something that abstract. I think that bonus scene was just a perfect way to say, " Yes. We acknowledge him for a good laugh. Now let's move on." It was classic though. I enjoyed it completely.

Yes, it was more of the Shawarma style end credit scene. I think more for a footnoted laugh than a teaser.

Gunn said it was just an injoke for fans. The cost of Howard's 1st appearance can now go back to what it's really worth on Ebay prior to this scene being leaked (around $7 bucks). Everyone who has paid upwards of $100 or more speculating can now move on.

I definitetly loved the movie! The end credits were fun. Doing something serious with Howard - unlikely.

I'm so glad I had no idea what this scene was before seeing it yesterday. It gave me a good honest laugh, which is what the movie makers wanted.

Yeah, it was a cool, fun little coda to the movie. Well worth sitting through the credits for.

Loved it. I wonder what the basis for the design was. Howard's look seemed radically different from anything I ever remembered seeing.

^Probably because Disney STILL doesn't want Howard looking anything like Donald.

It may have been a in joke, but if there is enough positive fan reaction, they're not stupid. They'll do something with it.

Besides, how great would it be for them to make a GREAT Howard the Duck movie and shut everybody up about the Lucasfilm one?
Expectation is the death of discovery.

I'm not sure a great Howard movie is possible. Howard was very much a part of his era and time, a satire and commentary on politics and the social era of the 70s. Look at how he failed soon after Gerber left the character. Too many people try to make him a funny animal joke character.
He is NOT a cranky smart alec, nor a snarky comedian. He isn't a superhero. His villains are... Odd.
He worked best as a satirical parody, with a wry humor. I'm not sure he would play well in our current overly pc era.

What gets me is nobody mentions Cosmos guest appearance in the end scene.

I am really surprised that so many people where shocked at the Howard guest appearance. I have been hearing about this for months. Since it was CGI they were going to place him in somewhere. I liked the ending where they showed Cosmos & Howard with the Collector.

The whole Cosmos thing went over my head as I don't follow the modern GOTG comicbook.

I want to see on new Man-Thing movie with Howard the Duck. It could lead in to a new Marvel Cinematic Universe with the Marvel Midnight Sons movies.
