Ben Affleck's new cowl (and partial cape) revealed...

Fans who showed up for Preview Night at San Diego Comic-Con got the chance to see the cape and cowl that Ben Affleck will wear as Batman in the upcoming film, “Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice.” DC Entertainment had the suit displayed on the floor, allowing fans to get up close and personal with the movie costume. After all, Batman has had more on-screen costume interpretations than just about any other superhero character, so fans are always eager to see how good the latest incarnation will look. The batsuit was part of a mini-exhibition celebrating the 75th anniversary of Batman's debut in Detective Comics #27. “Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice” is directed by Zack Snyder from a screenplay by Chris Terrio, and also stars Henry Cavill, Gal Godot, Jesse Eisenberg, Amy Adams, Jeremy Irons, and Diane Lane.

    I dig it!

Yeah, the mask looks great. It's very much like Miller or Lee's version of the mask. I prefer longer ears, but it's the best looking batman mask for film I've ever seen.

I appreciate the comic accuracy I'm seeing so far. It's amazing that in 7 "modern" Batman films, we never got a costume adapted from the comics in any real way.

How many times have I said 'wow' this morning? I like that. I especially like the silver age influence on the ears. This is definitely working... *Sigh*... Translation - More figures to buy, even less space.

I like the shape of it...still wish it were blue though.
I've given up any and all hope of ever seeing another blue and grey live action Batman.

After getting a bit of glimpse in that first "teaser" shot, I guess this looks about what I expected. There was all that coy "this is a black and white photo" stuff... which raised the glimmer of hope that we might see the blue & grey Batman. But... apparently not.

I'll take black and gray. As long as it's not all black.

I think it'd be cool if he use both blue and gray and black and gray. Why should Batman have just one costume. And yes, it's great to get away from all black.

Black and gray works for me too.

Ach, if only. They really need to move away from that dreary monochrome look.

Wouldn't it be great, D., if we got a navy & gray suit sometime?

I'd love to see it dark blue. Clooney's standard suit was actually dark blue, which I liked for a change. Given the light nature of that one, I'm surprised we didn't see a blue body armor in that one.
