    X-Men: Days of Future Past

X-Men: Days of Future Past was really good. To me, it's the best of the X-Men films. The cast is fantastic. Some characters probably didn't get the screen time that some fans would have desired, but Singer and the screen writer did service a lot of characters in the film.

The Sentinels in the past and future both looked great. Dinklage was excellent as Trask, just like he is in every role he gets. McAvoy was the standout to me as Xavier, but Fassbender, Jackman, Lawrence, McKellen and Stewart were all in fine form.

As lame as Quicksilver has looked in the lead up to the movie, he truly steals the portion of the film he is in. There is a fantastically fun scene portraying his super speed that the Avengers will have a difficult time matching. The audience with whom I attended actually cheered the scene.

The movie's closing sets the table and clears the decks for more X-men films in the future with just about everything a fan could want in play.

There is a scene after the credits that's pretty cool.

A really satisfying outing with the mutants. I'd still rate the Cap: Winter Soldier a little higher, but the movie was really enjoyable.

Super hero fans are lucky to have three films as well made as Cap, x-men and Spidey out at the same time.

I can't wait to see it.

X-Men: First Class is my favorite X-Men movie...I have a feeling that Future Past will surpass it.

P.S. I still like First Class more than Winter Soldier.

Saw the movie yesterday. Better than I anticipated, in many respects.

As a die-hard fan of the comics, I've never really liked how Fox has handled the X-Men cinematic franchise up to now, but DOFP is actually worth watching.

Aside from some key continuity questions remaining unanswered, the film nevertheless has good strong performances, some great action set pieces, and the ending nicely establishes the potential for future instalments (in both the Fassbender/McAvoy era and the McKellen/Stewart period).

And definitely sit through the end credits for a cool epilogue that sets up Age of Apocalypse.

Hector, First Class was great. It was my favorite X film until this one. I certainly wouldn't argue with anyone who prefers First Class or Day of Future Past to Cap:WS. All three are very good films. Cap is my favorite Marvel character, which likely accounts for my preference.

mcAvoy really gives a strong performance. Jackman's great as Wolverine. He's not exactly the character from the comics, but he's so good playing off the other characters.

I'm sure I'll love this one even more.

I probably won't get to see it until Tuesday though.

Really good movie. The best of the series, so far. It felt the most like an actual X-Men movie, not just Wolverine and everyone else.

How is this one for kids? My 6-year old has seen most of the Marvel films at this point. Just wondering if it can be a full-on family event, or we need a sitter.

It's not any more violent than the Marvel films or the other x-men films. It's not as violent as The Wolverine, but There is a scene where Wolverine wakes up in bed, gets up and you see his naked butt. There is a women in bed with him in a nighty, but there is no simulated sex or even kissing. When Wolverine turns around, you see as much of his naked torso as commonly shown in muscle magazines when they are wearing speedos.

A quick hand over your 6 year old's eyes would probably do, if that concerns you. But it's a gratuitous butt shot. Mystique is in it and is as naked as she was in the other x-men movies.

There is one F bomb, recalling a scene in Xmen First Class.

I saw it last night, and really enjoyed it. It was a really nice send-off for the cast members of the previous X-films, to lessen the bad memories X3 left me with. There were a few characters I would have liked to see more of, namely Quicksilver. What's funny, is that the entire time, I kept thinking of Impulse(Flash family). The actor is a little old to play him, but the way they portrayed Quicksilver is almost exactly like I'd want to see Bart Allen.

^You're right, Quicksilver really had a lot of Bart Allen qualities. It didn't ring a bell with me until you mentioned it.

I don't know if it will necessarily be a send off for those characters/actors. There have been reports that members of the original cast could return for Age of Apocalypse.

Interesting. I was under the impression that the original cast was done, except for maybe Hugh Jackman doing a few appearances for the fun of it.
