From what I know of the character (which is limited to his Swamp Thing appearances, mostly), that's pretty dead-on. Certainly an improvement over Keanu.

Meh...He needs to be more 'Dirty'...his outfit is clean and slightly disheveled...it needs to be wrinkled (like he slept in them), dirty (like he hasn't changed them in days), and worn (as though they soaked in the rain and dried while wearing it)...and his hair needs to be greasy.

I've got the run of Constantine (Loved & Hated it)...in this age of 'Supernatural' Series, this could have a good run if they don't make a farce out of it.

On a personal note...I actually liked the Keanu Reeves 'Constantine'...it was a different take, but still, entertaining.

Not really up on the character but yeah, he needs some stains and cigarette ash.

Fingers crossed. I think he needs to look rougher too, but this isn't horrible.

folks forget what a hit that movie was.
It eventually earned $75,976,178 at the North American box office and a total of $230,884,728 around the world.
Script-wise, it actually stuck fairly close to source material from Garth Ennis' run (although I guess you can say the same thing about Thomas Jane's Punisher). If not for the casting of Keanu, I would have loved this film. Especially if they cast someone like Jason Statham in a toupee.

Hoping that's how Constantine starts out in the beginning, and by the end of the pilot episode, he'll look like a Tim Bradstreet cover. In Moore's earliest Swamp Thing's, Constantine was a well dressed "thug" before he actually waded into the thick of things and ended up stained in blood. I trust David Goyer at this point... he's got enough comics adaptation cred in the bank.

Isn't there a Preacher TV series on cable somewhere?? Heard about it but have never seen it. I can tell you that Preacher comics have gone through the roof.

Loved the 'Constantine' movie. Still haven't gotten a chance to see the directors cut. Definitely needs to be a little more dirtier looking than the person in the pic.

Their eyes can't hope to see

              Isn't it a pity".

Me too! I thought Keanu was GREAT in the part. I've watched it MANY times!

They attempted a Preacher series, but I don't think it ever got to the pilot stage or even any kind of filming.

I believe the guy who plays Cyclops was attached at one point as Jessie Custer, and Kevin Smith was going to produce at one point?

In this day and age of cable shows, I think this would be terrific if they got the right cast and creative team together to produce this.

Same here, I LOVED Ennis' run on Hellblazer, and when I found out that the film would be based on a lot of his stuff, I held out a bit of hope. But Keanu was just totally wrong for the role and I just couldn't get past that. A series with the right casting, the right atmosphere, and using the best storylines in the comic series could be great if done properly. Here's hoping! Same with Preacher, that would be awesome!
