I find the digital "sculpting" fascinating.

The face is way off compared to the Hot Toys version. The eyes are really bad in particular. To me it looks like a Reeve impersonator/cosplayer.

^Yeah, he's in there, but there is something off. It looks like Reeve making a "GRRR!" face, as compared to the natural face of the Hot Toys version.

To me, this is a little heartbreaking. I was looking forward to getting this. I love the character and love the format. But beyond the bad pose they've got the tone wrong. Save the dour expressions for Cavill. This is Reeve. They should've given him a subtle smile, so that he gives off the aura of "A Friend".

Still, can't judge by this photo alone. I'm such a fan, I may still order, but I was hoping for love at first sight.

^Yeah, the more I look at it, it's just wrong in every way. Aside from the face issues, the pose is too aggressive, and Reeve was not nearly that bulky. That chest and those lats are bordering on Lou Ferrigno.

I entered the contest in the hopes of winning one but I too would be hard pressed to buy one straight out.

Extremely disappointed with this one. The face and hair are Way-off. The Hot Toys face by comparison just "blows it out the water". I wish they would've gone with the hair i'm sculpting on my Hot Toys version (hair should have roundness on top, and spit S curl lower on forehead). To me,.....when i think of Superman/Chris Reeve i see this image implanted in my head (See pics below).............

Some artist beautiful sculpted rendition, which i really like........

My buddy jokingly says that the new face sculpt (high chubby cheek bones) below looks more like Queen Latifah then Chris Reeve, what a joker he is....

                  The Queen.....

That half-smile you posted is perfect, yes. Sideshow should try more to capture the essence of the Superman who broke the 4th wall to smile at the audience.

That is't what I was hoping for. Guess I'll save my pennies and get the Hot Toys.
Toys and comics. My house isn't big enough. It's an addiction.

It looks like a generic Superman figure....NOT Chris Reeve.

This one is a pass for me, too. It's weird because the sculpt looks decent in the clay stage, but in that final image, it looks bad. Maybe it's the painting or the lighting or something?

I'm more bothered by the ridiculous overflexed pose.
