They're releasing Ninja Turtle figures on their Munny body as well. I like these better than the Super Power stuff that Mattel is putting out.

well said...I have been seeing these types of sculpts for years in my local Chinatowns, but they don't speak to me. I fondly remember those 'lull years' when I searched high and low or the rarer Super-Hero merchandising, and I miss those years. It is cool that here we are in a modern age where Superheroes are cool, and mostly taken seriously, but ~ugh~, please I sure wish designers would please stop deforming them. Look at the right hand side of the photo: IS that Bat-Bunny?!...distasteful, IMO!

I don't mind them, but there are so many of them now it's getting really old really fast. Apparently WB isn't giving out "exclusive" licenses any more, so you get tons of "ME TOO" products with very little variation.

The Super Powers packaging stands out, but Kubrick has already done that for their Bearbricks, which is kind of in the same category.

I was raised with frequent visits to (and visitors bearing gifts from) the Pacific Rim, and in the aforementioned Chinatowns (Toronto has Five of 'em!), so this format was a childhood norm to me. I get it if other older folks didn't grow up with Chibi or SuperDeformed style. It's mostly aimed at the twenty and thirty year olds who experienced the tonnage of import Manga and Anime product in their upbringing. Inversely, keep in mind (as some of us have experienced first-hand) they totally don't get our "doll crap".

What I think I like about these carded figs is that they are not blind-boxed... it's one of the things that's keeping me from collecting much of the vinyl figures these days.

I'd probably bite on Rodin if I ever saw it. Same goes for the Robin bearbrick.

Rodin? So like Superman sitting on the can?

I was wondering when the SP craze would begin. Hasbro has sorta tried to revive Secret Wars.

If they want to do it correctly, which they don't...continue the freakin lines! That's the major thing I give Matty credit for with MOTUC and DCU. It's not a rehash.
