I'm Totally distraught by this news.....I met him years ago in the 80's and was an amazing person and a Major influence on my artwork....the Art world has lost an amazing person and an Incredible Illustrator.........Comment

Man, this really sucks. He was a great artist and paved the way for good-girl artists like Adam Hughes and Frank Cho. The Rocketeer, so much more could have been done.Comment

I was stunned to see this. Stevens was the real deal. No faking, no tricks, just pure talent and finesse. His artwork never failed to amaze and please me. Too bad he kind of drifted away from comic work. The Rocketeer is probably the most faithful adaptation of a comic ever, and it's a great movie and comic.
