'66 Batman: False Face on TV and my comic book!

I went to the comic book store and bought the newest '66 Batman comic w/ False Face, (along w/ the Scooby Doo/Batman team-up), and when I came home, Me-TV was showing the False Face eps! How cool is that?

Just thought I'd share. Carry on.

'Cos I believe, I believe that I do,
Yes, I can see I believe that it's magic
If your mission is magic your love will shine true."

I just sat down and watched that episode with my grandson this afternoon. I have the series DVR'd from Me-TV. That was a great villain. I thought it was kind of a play off of Marvel's Chameleon. Well done. I will have to check out that issue.

Be interesting to see how FTC handles the figure of him.

False Face always creeped me out. I wonder... Was False Face created for the show as an alternative to the 'deemed too scary' Two Face?

False-Face was an older minor Bat-foe, reworked for the series.

My understanding about Two-Face on TV is that Dozier considered using the character, with a more Paul Sloan-like origin (Two-face was to be a handsome newscaster, who's face was damaged in an on-set accident). Supposedly Clint Eastwood was considered for the role--I do not know if he's ever confirmed this. But ABC felt the character was too gruesome.

I really like the False-Face episodes; I think Malachi Throne is marvelous.
WANTED: Dick Grayson SI trousers; gray AJ Mustang horse; vintage RC Batman (Bruce Wayne) head; minty Wolfman tights; mint Black Knight sword; minty Launcelot boots; Lion Rock (pale) Dracula & Mummy heads; Lion Rock Franky squared boots; Wayne Foundation blue furniture; Flash Gordon/Ming (10") unbroken holsters; CHiPs gloved arms; POTA T2 tan body; CTVT/vintage Friar Tuck robes, BBP TZ Burgess Meredith glasses.
