In the thread on perfect casting, someone mentioned a Fantastic Four stage musical. A Google search tells me this was the plot of an episode of Arrested Development, though I'm curious if anyone knows if there was a stage show, and it got me wondering about just how many theatrical productions there might have been. Broadway has seen Superman in It's a Bird, It's a Plane, It's Superman (a modest success at best, and one people have pointed out that has been revived in a variety of places when other shows of similar runs sit forgotten), and our friendly neighborhood wall-crawler in Spiderman: Turn off the Dark, which just ended its run. There have been proposed Broadway musicals for Batman and Captain America over the years, but they failed to make it.
This message board has discussed such shows as Bugs Bunny Meets the Superheroes and Bugs Bunny in Space, not to mention the Super Friends water show. I also know there was (very briefly) a Shazam musical in the early 90s before having to cease and desist. What might I be leaving out?
