I hope this venture implodes and Marvel gets the rights back. Unfortunately the other FF movies did well enough at the box office that Fox won't let that happen. They know there will be a profitable opening weekend whether the film is bad or decent or actually good.

Fox ought to take Jordan and build a super hero character/franchise around him. He is a fine actor and has a lot of charisma. Build the character around today and not shoehorn Jordan into a teenage stereotype that hasn't been relevant since 1965. He's not yet a big enough star where the audience thinks that's Will Smith playing a super hero. Then Fox would own the character and licensing rights all to themselves. Heck, if popular enough, they could outsource the comic book to Marvel, DC, ImAge, Boom, whoever.

Kyle Chandler does have the look for Reed.

Besides Jordan's pull from Fruitvale, the problem for Marvel is he's perfect for Cyborg and they don't have any comparable character to slot him into.

What about the captain America character from Young Avengers? Yeah, he's a longshot to make it to film.

If I were Fox, I'd have Singer and his writing cohorts create a super-powered part for him for the next X-men film and spin him into his own franchise. Maybe from misunderstood villain or a kid at the school that has to leave for some reason. Once in his own film, the x-men connection doesn't have to be mentioned in the story, but it would be there for the viewers.

Fox would own the character but have the X-men's notoriety as a springboard.

As for Jordan, Human Torch has always been the least interesting character in the FF since Byrne showed that Sue was a powerhouse in the 80s. I'm not sure why he is so attracted to the role?

But, I'm done griping now. Hopefully whatever is made will be good.

Let's all cleanse our pallet with some classic, old-school FF..

Y'know, if that darn nurse had been a wee bit more professional, maybe Von Doom wouldn't have been so traumatized..
