Wow! I'm interested in seeing all of this. This FF movie certainly has it's problems, but it's heart, and even a good part of it's head is in the right place. Dr. Doom is SO much better in this one than Mr. Star-of-the-Month Nip/Tuck Guy in the more recent films. And I thought the Thing as done pretty well too.

          Cool -

Years ago I saw Roger Corman at a presentation of "The Man with X-Ray eyes", during a Q&A he was asked about the FF movie. He explained the whole situation and was fairly enthusiastic about it. I think part of him thought it was a fun project in general - but he was positively gleeful about the money he made off it and the fact that it was another way he could profit by shaking up the system a bit.

Personally, I don't think the finished movie was any worse than the big budget mess they made. The big budget one didn't even surpass the quality of the special effects, in my opinion.

I like the Corman Fantastic Four Film. It has its cheesy moments...but it is a good film. I have upgraded copies of this film for years and finally came across a really good copy on DVD. You know Disney will never let the original Corman film see the light of day. If you see a copy at a Comic Con...make sure you see it on a bigger than 19 inch screen. If it looks really good on a bigger than 19 inch screen then you have a really good copy of the film.
"When not too many people can see we're all the same
And because of all their tears,
Their eyes can't hope to see
              The beauty that surrounds them
              Isn't it a pity".

I've never seen this film--I recall reading of it years ago in Comics Scene.

I'd love to at least see the documentary.

Jessica Alba is a mere shadow of the Sue Storm that is Maria Bamford.

                        Nah, man...Jessica Alba is beautiful...that's just a bland-looking woman.

Jessica Alba? Please!!! Alba didn't even play Susan Storm as portrayed by mentally unstable butter gorging drug addict! AND she didn't sing and dance! Anyone could do that!

Here's one of the many youtube uploads.. I've only seen the movie once, a friend who was pretty obsessed with it made me watch it on his VHS copy about 15 yrs ago. I think my reaction was that it was plenty silly and cheesy, but not unwatchable..

Cool! This is actually better quality than the version I saw years ago on bootleg VHS!

I forgot George Gaynes was in this!

I'm about 5 minutes in, and the actors who play Richards and Doom just broke character for a bit and almost started laughing. I love it!
