Concept art for this was released a few months ago I think. A shame it was cancelled, it looks like it would have been pretty fun.

DC has left the Flash standing at the altar more times than I care to count. When people talk about heroes outside of the Batman/Superman universe, his name is always one of the first to pop up, yet studios can't seem to get behind this character. So many false start-ups. Look at Arrow? They hyped the Flash' appearance to the moon for months, then at the eleventh hour pulled out and only gave us "Barry Allen". The excuse being they will make his own series. Yeah... Believe it when I see it.

I think one of the problems is (sadly) that super-speed is actually kinda boring now. We've seen it in dozens of movies and TV shows...in Smallville Clark ran around all the time. We even see it used in commercials. A hero that runs fast just doen't seem as exciting as it did back in 1990 when the original series was on.

^I don't think that's it. Who wouldn't want to be able to just run anywhere super fast? It's pure wish-fulfillment, just like flying. I think if handled properly, it can be seen as a great power. See The Incredibles for how to portray it right. The joyous giggle Dash has as he learns he can run on water still sticks with me.

I think a solid story would sell this character. We've seen heroes fly since the 40's and that hasn't lowered the stock on that super-power. I think it's like anything. It's all in how imaginative it's conveyed. As a 3D effect, super speed could really be utilized to conjure up many a interesting effect. But I think first the general public needs to be introduced to him. I believe if you can make a connection between Barry Allen and the audience, the Flash will come easy. It's got to be more than just the costume and effects. I think his relationship with Iris could be a good working point, with Professor Zoom playing the main foil.

They should have done it in a first-person version.

I think the graphics are about 10 years behind the times.

^It looks like a student project...a really good one, but nothing that would be put out now.

Seeing how it wasn't even completed when it was cancelled over 4 years ago, I'd say that's to be expected.
