Is there any justification for thinking that drunken Trevor is actually the Mandarin other than fanboy speculation? This new short will show clips from his acting career, and in prison he seems to be loving the newfound celebrity he always craved. So somewhere along the line this silly actor just decided to become the dreaded leader of a terrorist organization?

I just don't get it.

^Supposedly, Kingsley has said in recent interviews "I am the Mandarin", so that led to speculation that he was either supposed to be all along...or Marvel is reacting to the fan backlash.

As much as this part of the film irked me, I doubt they care. It was the highest grossing movie of the year, although it's my least favorite genre movie I paid to see. And I saw about all of them except for Kick-A** 2.

Trevor got an action figure. Killian didn't.
I guess Marvel sees potential in having Ben Kingsley stick around the Marvel cinematic universe. I would think they want more Tom Huddleston type players moving between films, and Sir Ben certainly has acting chops, whatever they toss at him. If the want to pull a Keyser Soze, I guess we'll see how they try and execute that.

Marvel's pathetic.

They lie their arses off as to why they did the changeup.

It blows up in their face, and let the writer and Black suggest if you want the original Mandarin, it's because you're a racist.

Then word leaks on a mea culpa segment. And what was the original response? Deny it's happening and let the writer state they retract nothing from IM3.

Then, this same ****** turns out to be the writer/director of the this clip and claims "Joss came up with this brilliant idea"...

They lie and lie, then lie some more. Marvel has been doing it since the first Spidey. Zero respect for their audience. Zero. Zip. Nada.

If this clip has nothing to do with Thor's world, then why wasn't it on the IM3 disc, attached to Cap2 or a SHIELD episode?
