Is anyone still reading Superior Spiderman?

I have to agree. There is no sequential storytelling there. I cant tell if he really is a good artist. This trend is partly what has ruined comics. Its been going on since Mcfarlane was given so much creative freedom on Amazing Spiderman.

I wish this was looked down apon by editors. I would like them to go back to the basics to: Pencil, pen, paper. NO COMPUTERS!! This is why I rarely read newer comics.

^Sorry, but I think that art is terrible. It's all style and no substance, and is a perfect example of how too much artistic freedom is ruining comics today. You cannot tell what is going on in ANY of those pages, and since a comic artist's job is to tell a story visually...well, you see my point.

This art utterly and completely fails to do that.

Seriously, Peter Parker fans should vote with their $$$ and pick up Marvel Knights Spider-Man. I had a chance to look at the original art, and it's terrific and wonderfully expressive. Marco Rudy's a heckuva nice guy as well.

The smugness, the superior attitude, the i am better than everyone doesnt belong behind Spideys mask. I understand the wanting to see spidey lash out and show what he can really do...but It should be Peter, not DOC ...FEAKIN....OCK!! Why dont we just deface the statue of liberty with Mexican Flag Colors, or exchange Abraham Lincolns Head with Jeffersons, or worse yet...Peyton Manning in an Oakland Raiders Jersey....AAAARRRRGGGGHHHHH!!!!!

I'm referring to the way Ock lashes out in his personal life at Peter's friends, co-workers and even Aunt May. This last issue he exploded at her and treated her terribly...something Peter would never do. Peter's going to have one hell of a time putting everything right with people when he comes back, and then there's the added dilemna of Ock's budding romance. How will Peter deal with that? It's gonna make for some great reading. I'm staying on board 'til the end. I'm just as ready as anyone for the return of the real Spidey, but it has been an engaging story so far...

I'm still picking it up and enjoying it. They have really done a slow burn and are cranking things up on this Goblin nation arc.

I'm enjoying it too...I think they're heading towards a real meltdown of Otto Octavius, when he's going to realize he ISN'T superior. It's becoming obvious as Ock lashes out at everyone around him. He can't handle juggling the pressures of being Spider-Man and maintaining Peter Parker's personal life.

Peter Parker fans should be reading the Marvel Knights series with some terrific art by Marco Rudy.

Wow. Lots of negative stuff. I'm liking it. I've only picked it up because Peter was gone. I like the idea of the villain trying to be a better hero and failing. It's the only Marvel book I'm buying.

NOPE! I dropped it the minute they killed Peter Parker and have NOT BOUGHT ONE BOOK since...or even any book they had him appear in.

I still read it because I enjoy certain aspects of it. One thing that's always irked about PP Spidey is he hols back too much and was never perceived as powerful as he really is expect for a few epic moments. For instance I enjoyed the issue where the Kingpin was sent scrambling because that is always what SHOULD happen when a normal human no matter how strong goes up against someone who can lift 10 tons. That said I still prefer PP as Spidey and it looks like the writing is on the wall as Superior may ending with issue #30 and they've already been put Amazing 700.1-700.5 featuring the classic Spidey with stories set before the mind swap.

When ASM2 comes out this summer, Parker will be back in the saddle.

But I don't blame you. If you are not enjoying it, don't buy it. The number one reason comic companies put out material 90%of their fans dislike is because 75% of those same fans KEEP BUYING IT. Send them a message via your lack of dollars.
