Louis Riel at the Art Gallery of Ontario

not likely of huge interest for those that frequent the Comic Book forum to discuss film adaptations of their favourite superheroes, but here's an article I wrote about a comics biography of a canadian historical figure of significance, and an exhibition of the original artwork at the AGO.

Yeah, I know, I put myself to sleep just typing that.

Who do you think would be a better Louis Riel? I say Clooney Gosling, but I could also see Pitt Damon in the roll.

(I actually saw the pages on display a few weeks ago. They were fantastic to see in person. I think it might be Brown's best work.)

      Very cool indeed.
It hits home here,I've been to many of the places in Riels history living in Winnipeg.
I married a proud métis woman and together we have three métis children.
You never know who your stories or posts will reach, thanks for sharing.
I've always thought that megos Wyatt Earp figure looked like Riel.
I maid a custom Riel figure just haven't gotten around to posting him yet.
“When you say “It’s hard”, it actually means “I’m not strong enough to fight for it”. Stop saying its hard. Think positive!”

That's really cool! It's always neat to see the multicultural make-up of many of the Canadian members here. Thanks for your kind words.

Glad to know the métis still endure out west, even after all the set-backs they historically experienced. Hopefully the exhibition will travel to your neck of the woods!
