Now that the Super Friends is officially complete and available on DVD, the question that comes to mind now is, which classic DC Animated show should or would you like to see come to DVD next? Luckily, the choices are getting smaller, but there are three (technically five) categories left. These are the DC shows produced by Filmation and Ruby Spears.
THE BATMAN/SUPERMAN HOUR 1968: Technically three.
The Adventures of Batman: The first animated Batman cartoon produced by Filmation with Olan Soule and Casey Kasem and Ted Knight. This series is available for download, but not on DVD. Plus, it's the only animated Batman series that is needed to complete a Batman video library.
The remaining 24 episodes of the New Adventures of Superman that were not on the DVD release. While I don't have the episode list in front of me, I'm referring to episodes like A.P.E. Strikes Again, the Lethal Lightning Bug, The Wisp of Wickedness, Luthor's Loco Looking Glass, The Prankster, The Saboteurs, War of the Bee Battallion, Halyah of the Himalayas, Luthor's Fatal Fireworks, Brainiac's Bubbles, Warlock's Revenge, The Cage of Glass, and the 2 parters like Luminians on the Loose, Can a Luthor Change his Spots, Luthor's Lethal Laser, Ghost of Kilbane Castle, Rain of Iron, Team of Terror, and Japanese Sandman. I didn't list of all them, but you get the idea.
The Adventures of Superboy: Anyone want to see this animated show come to DVD?
SHAZAM: The live show is finally out, but what about the short lived 13 episode cartoon that ran with Hero High on the Kid Super Power Hour with Shazam in 1981. That's all we need to complete Captain Marvel on DVD.
PLASTIC MAN: while the best of Plastic Man is now on DVD, are there any completionists that would like to get the Plastic Family and Baby Plas episodes on DVD. Granted Baby Plas is not popular, it's still a matter of completion.
So for DC fans, which do you want to see come to DVD next. While I want all of them, I am hoping for the remaining Filmation produced Batman and Superman episodes and complete those parts of my DVD library.
