I had forgotten how much Firestar looked like Mary Jane Watson in civilian ID. I think when I first saw this show when I was really young, I assumed she was Mary Jane who had gained super-powers.

Obviously the microwave powers activated a perm (which looks more like how Todd McFarlane drew MJ).

^Yes, yes and yes. I also assumed she was MJ. I think I saw some early, non-MJ-looking designs for Angelica Jones, but they opted to go the Romita MJ route.

Of course, we all know that originally, Johnny Storm was meant to be the third boarder at Aunt May's house, but that would have made it Spider-Man and His Amazing Sausage Fest.

Between her and me religiously buying every comic with Hellcat on the cover as a kid, I'm beginning to think I have a redheads/yellow spandex thing.

^Hellcat has a great design. There's a reason they revived the design from "The Cat" when that character morphed into Tigra...which is also a great design!
