The Scarlet Witch in Age of Ultron is...

    Elizabeth Olsen.

Is this old news? I would think this is as controversial as Ben Affleck playing Batman. I don't even think she should play Wasp.

Why, cause she's not brunette? They have hair dye for that.

I don't tink she's a seasoned enough actress. Even if they dye her hair I don't think she looks like the Scarlet Witch.

I have no idea who she is, but her IMDB profile page has a more-Wanda-like hue to her hair:

Known for: Martha Marcy May Marlene, Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, Wind River

Young actress playing a young character, nobody has a preconceived notion of her.

She's attractive but not a voluptuous as the comic character, which few people are. The leading men aren't as buff as their characters either (Hulk excluded).

I don't see the issue personally.

Marvel's casting record has been pretty spectacular thus far, so I'll reserve judgement since I have no idea who she is, just her sisters.
I almost had a psychic girlfriend but she dumped me before we met.

I like this choice. And although she's not statuesque, she is curvy for a petite girl.

She is related to the Olsen twins; Ashley and Mary Kate. She's also listed as being in the new Godzilla film.

                "Trivia
Younger sister of Mary-Kate Olsen and Ashley Olsen.

Elizabeth was born to Jarnette, a former Dancer with the LA ballet, and David Olsen, a mortgage broker in Los Angeles. She is well known as the little sister of Mary-Kate Olsen and Ashley Olsen and she has an older brother, Trent Olsen."

She's given some well received performances and was nominated for several awards. I think Marvel did a nice job of grabbing a talented young actress. She's thin, but really attractive to me. Whedon's really good at directing female roles.

But who knows. Renner was really flat as Hawkeye and I thought he'd be good.

I totally agree. Same way I treat the decisions made by the New England Patriots. I don't always understand them but making the playoffs every year doesn't suck so I always wait and see before delivering judgement. Marvel has definitely earned the right. they've been pretty dead on for the number of movies they've released.
It's not a doll it's an action figure.

Whedon really didn't have to look too far for Wanda (IMHO):

...not diggin' Olsen too much...can't see her looking or convincingly acting as a Gypsy.
