    Dr. Strange

I was thinking when I was dutifully watching Agents of Shield that a Josh Whedon influenced Dr. Strange TV show could be pretty good. So I googled and saw they have a movie in the works, which is cool, but I think Strange would lend itself well to episodic television with a mystic demon-of-the-week formula along the lines of Buffy or even the recently awesome Sleepy Hollow.

One of my favorite characters, I hope they make it really trippy and exotic.

I hope so, too--and I'd agree with your TV idea as well. That would allow many appearances from various Marvel monsters & mystics, not only Brother Voodoo, but also heroes like Moon Knight & the Shroud.

With varied, "parallel-dimension" story arcs possible, it could be formatted like Smallville, kind of a graphic novel for each season...

I know that years ago Patrick Dempsey wanted to play Dr. Strange; I wonder if he's still in?
WANTED: Dick Grayson SI trousers; gray AJ Mustang horse; vintage RC Batman (Bruce Wayne) head; minty Wolfman tights; mint Black Knight sword; minty Launcelot boots; Lion Rock (pale) Dracula & Mummy heads; Lion Rock Franky squared boots; Wayne Foundation blue furniture; Flash Gordon/Ming (10") unbroken holsters; CHiPs gloved arms; POTA T2 tan body; CTVT/vintage Friar Tuck robes, BBP TZ Burgess Meredith glasses.

So, they're talking more about Strange for phase three.

Unless Abrams and Star Wars lock him up, I tend to believe Marvel wants Cumberbatch.

He looks like a cross of Ditko and Colon's Strange. He's got the voice and enough name recognition to carry a movie.

If they don't get him, I could see Feige hand the role to Hiddleston if they decide Loki's run his course.

If they did Strange anywhere near as good as Sleepy Hollow, I would tune in every week.

I hope they save Benedict Cumberbatch for Namor. The guy is a dead ringer, and he has a great, almost amphibian quality to his eyes.
I truly think he was born to play the Sub-Mariner.

^ I could see that, but Feige recently confirmed the Namor rights were still at Universal, and hinted there was no forward movement since the Disney buyout.

Maybe the rights expire at the same time Phase 3 would kick in, and they're going to make Namor an Inhumans king since they've insinuated Game of Thrones with Black Bolt.
