To me John Wesley Shipp HAS to play Jay Garrick:

I would prefer a Luthor that is more of a contemporary to Supes and Bats, same rough age maybe 35-40, perhaps a bit older. We need someone who will play off the others well and who can be both charming and menacing, maybe even in the same scene. Since we already have Ben Affleck, here's a crazy idea...
Matt Damon
At first I wouldn't like it either, but he brings a name (like Affleck) and an impressive resume. Or my other pick would be DiCapprio. I do think Hanks would be stellar in the role, but you'd only get one film out of him. We gotta think long-term. Or John Hamm. Everyone wants him in a superhero movie so lets go Hamm.Last edited by Random Axe; Oct 17, '13, 3:54 PM.I almost had a psychic girlfriend but she dumped me before we met.

Ross used Shipp's face as his model for the poster, but if you can get Tom Hanks to play a role, you get him.
Scott, l think Damon would be good for Luthor. I think he could play the intensity, charm and rage.
I think DiCapprio would be a great Barry Allen. He's built like a cross country runner. Slim but still toned. And he played A character named Barry Allen in Catch Me if You Can.
To finish off a billion dollar cast:
Brad Pitt for Aquaman
Tom Cruise as Green Lantern
Matthew MCConaughey as Green Arrow
Catherine Zeta Jones as Wonder Woman
CGI Martian Manhunter with Vin Diesel's voice.Last edited by madmarva; Oct 17, '13, 4:58 PM.Comment

I'm just joking of course, glad to see that other people want him as Luther too.

Definitely. If WB doesn't hire him I don't know who else they would.sigpic

Upon reflection, Arnold Voosloo (known to many folk as Imhotep from "The Mummy") could probably pull off a pretty good Lex Luthor, too...sigpic Oh then, what's this? Big flashy lighty thing, that's what brought me here! Big flashy lighty things have got me written all over them. Not actually. But give me time. And a crayon.Comment

^^^ I could see him too. My theory is he and Zane are long-lost twin brothers:

Truthfully, I want to see someone totally unique and unexpected. Just an off the wall choice that could be a home run or break your ankle swing and a miss. I don't want a typical casting with this, and as good as Zane looks the part, he's too much like him if that makes sense. I want a completely new persona of Lex Luthor, a new dynamic and direction. Spacey was okay, but lacked any depth, same with Hackman. We need someone with multiple layers of badass, mystery and unpredictibility. I dunno who that is, but those are the criteria I'd use if putting this together.I almost had a psychic girlfriend but she dumped me before we met.
