I told my wife I wouldn't watch the trailer because I like the surprises at the theatre.

    But I couldn't help myself.

    WOW!!!

    This looks REALLY good.

Downey Jr. was such an inspired choice. Looks like it could be the best super hero movie ever.

You know, I'm not even all that into Ironman. But I gotta say this movie looks like it is gonna kick some major arse. Puts all other super hero movies to shame.
You are a bold and courageous person, afraid of nothing. High on a hill top near your home, there stands a dilapidated old mansion. Some say the place is haunted, but you don't believe in such myths. One dark and stormy night, a light appears in the topmost window in the tower of the old house. You decide to investigate... and you never return...

Why do I wanna see this movie even more than any other hero movie for the last 10 years ?

                  Including, Superman Returns and Spider-Man

I can't explain it, other than thinking Robert Downey Jr is soooo perfect for this.

                    I agree, Mike.

Iron Man was never one of my favorites, but this movie has me going...like you said...it's probably because of Downey...he's a GREAT actor.

I love it when he wants to add hot rod red to the armor, lol.

Who would've thought based on Swingers, a fun, cute indie movie, that you'd get this out of John Favreau? He sure looks like he knows what he's doing!

That looks excellent. I've never been big into Ironman, which is cool since I always enjoy Hero movies more when I don't have a real attachment to their stories in comics.

I saw the preview last Thursday during Lost and then completely forgot what the episode was all about.

The two best lines in the previews so far have been the one about building a weapon that you never have to fire, or need to fire only once; and, in the Thursday night preview, Pepper (Gwyneth Paltrow) sees him in the armor, I guess and says something like "What the - ?" and Tony (Robert Downey, Jr.) responds, "Oh, you've seen me do worse!"

I haven't read an Iron Man comic book since the Bob Layotn - Dave Michelinie days, when he first developed his drinking problem (cue David Ball here). But I want to see this more than Dark Knight.

I like Christian Bale as Batman and I liked Batman Begins, but there were parts that were just not fun. Iron Man looks like a lot of fun, like the first two Spider-Man movies, The X-Men movies, The FF movies, The first Blade movie and parts of The Punisher movie.

I saw Robert Downey, Jr. in The Shaggy Dog and he was funny. The movie was a bit weak, but he was very good.

                            Can't wait to see it.

This really looks good. I'm way more excited about this than any of the DC stuff on the board.
