None of this stuff works because everyone sticks to the WW design with dogma, and it does not translate to live action. The actor always looks like a pro wrestler or Cirque De Solei member who lost her mind and decided to walk the real world in-gear.

The design has to be a cross between a female Roman archer and a Valkyrie. That's why Faora from MOS is probably the front runner in WB. She's not model-beauty generic and has already shown the ability to sell a costume.

The whole concept is going to have to be closer to Xena than Thor, as Thor only worked because he was out of garb on Earth for the majority of the film, and in-costume amongst the Technicolor Dream Coats of Asgard. And that's really what Marvel understands; the world around them has to blend into the design. Cap dragged that point to the foreground and is apparently keeping it there in the sequel.

Then again, Injustice rules all right now. So that will most likely end up as the basis.

a WW Costume ..., that looks like Her would work for her Character .
But it's not like Hollywood would even try. Look at Scale Superman.

This coming from a Superman III fan.

I just don't understand why they can't translate the comics Wonder Woman to film (or TV). This tweet summed it up for me the other day...

Because WW could be a bigger windfall than Batman. There's no equal in name or brand recognition from Marvel. She-Ra, Xena and arguably Lara Croft are the only ones who've held any kind of comparable market share.

So WB, whose played this "we own the prime real estate game" for decades and made people jump through hoops to even be attached to WW in some form, has now become paralyzed by fear of screwing it up as Superman Returns, Jonah Hex and Green Lantern caused a lot of people at WB/DC to engage pants-crapping, while disasters like Lone Ranger, which on paper looked impeccable, created more fear. MOS performed, but not at the level hoped for, so that doesn't help.

The guys who were in charge had legit comic backgrounds, and they couldn't see it through. The new guys are working from a different logistic, so lord only knows what they're thinking.

As for Marvel and Rocket Raccoon...so many fanboys talk as if Guardians is money. If it had no connection to Marvel, it would be lucky to reach a Kick-*** opening. Marvel is a perfect hype machine who understands things work for them be stringing out the connections between projects as if its building to something amazing and epic, but the anticipation game is going to catch them at some point. My gut says between Shield, Cap2 and Guardians, something is not going to click and it won't have RDJ to cash in the audience-forgiveness card he got for IM3.

It happens to every franchise. Bond and Connery, Star Wars, Indiana Jones, Batman, Godzilla, Trek. Hype saturation cannot live up to expectations. The difference for Marvel is they have so many pieces in play that a hit can make up for a previous bust. Except the next two years are overloaded with Marvel projects, so one derailment can have a really big domino effect.

Look at what Millar said about X-Force and FF. A lot of us were guessing the youthifying of the FF was akin to making them the New Mutants, and as Gomer Pyle would say...

At some point, the general public will get this is all a gimmick, and none of it really has any bearing on the other projects. And that will be the beginning of the end.

I've said it for Yrs ...
I hate the Fact that Warner is the Sole Owner of DC's Movie Rights.
.... For yrs, instead of Making Credible A list DC Flicks..., they are More concerned with Making Harry Potter Movies, And beat around the Bush C-list Crap like Watchmen ...., and Wanna Be TV Shows .

They just can't get it done .... In 35 Years..., they Made like only 4 Great DC Movies.
              Not a Great Track Record.
They Don't know what they Have..., How to use it ..., and make it Successful..., and I really feel like too much of thier camp right now, is Looking at Marvel, and the Mouse, that they Just are not going to come up with something Origional..., and captivating when it's all said and done.

"Beat around the bush C-list crap like Watchmen"?!

I'd re-watch that any day over any Nolan, Iron Man, or most X-men-franchise flicks...

I think this thread needs more pics. I don't think she looksmuch like Lynda Carter but she does have an exotic looking face:
