    The return of Spider-Man 2099!!

Oh man! I've really been enjoying Superior Spider-Man so far, and the teaser for the upcoming issue sounds like stuff is about to get VERY interesting...Doc Ock's turn as Spidey may be coming to an end. It appears Miguel O'Hara shows up from the future with some knowledge of what's going on to set things right and rewrite Spider-Man's history...

    Can't freaking wait!

Now Miles Morales is going to join the legit continuity.

Which, ya know when they first made the character, they said would never happen.

    Ahem.

And I promise, Morales' origin is not going to be rebooted continuity at some point.

Marvel would never use "diversity" as a marketing gimmick, so they can make the next series of Spidey films, post-Garfield, around Morales. Never.

Historically, Ultimates will go down as the end of Marvel Comics and the beginning of Marvel Hollywood. The series was never intended to do anything original except turn old ideas into storyboards for pitch meetings. Now with Disney as master, it serves no purpose. So it's time to merge the two worlds, which really means just keeping the 616 legacy in place.

I always felt it was them trying to do an actual reboot, while weaselling out of ACTUALLY doing a reboot.

I'm kinda surprised it's taken this long. Parrallel "multiverses" has been the way of comics since the Silver Age.

Really? Have you told DC about this?

What does Miles Morales have to do with Spider-Man 2099? Did I miss something? I never read the later Ultimate SM. As for Superior, we all know Peter Parker is coming back at some point. For now, I'm just enjoying the ride. Doc Ock may be a better, though more ruthless Spider-Man, but he is pretty much ruining Peter Parker's life. He's alienated or ****ed off all Peter's friends, family, and colleagues. He's unbelievably arrogant, and the lie is beginning to unravel. The original Green Goblin and Hobgoblin are both making a comeback, and you just know Norman Osborne is gonna figure out something is wrong with Peter pretty quick.
I think the proverbial **** is about to hit the fan.

I am a huge 2099 fan. Miguel O'Hara showing up is enough to entice me to jump back on board for a few issues.
