I thought Trinity War had an interesting idea behind it, then I saw Johns refer to Identity Crisis, and I shuddered.

Wasn't the whole point of the 52 reboot to cut through the Gordian Knot that was DC's chronology/continuity?

How does going right back to a massive multi-layered campaign not just restart that madness?

Once the "deeply effects title x" talk starts, they're planting the seeds for future revisions, retcons and eventually, reboot city.

Interested to see if Diesel's announced as Vision or is he Black Panther, or Luke Cage? All three fit, but he's probably too old for Cage.

I said he's too old for Cage. You go back to around XXX and Chronicles of Riddick, and he had not just the size, but still didn't look his age to where he could have been Cage for once or twice in a three year period. Now, he looks his actual age which works against him when you map it out another six years. Dude is 46. He's not going to be a 48 year old Power Man.

As for Panther, the mask obscures all facial features which is not something actors and agents usually sign off on. This is why since Spider-Man 2 we see the superhero sans mask for vasts amounts of time in the movie, or why Batman's eyes aren't "whited out". The Agents negotiate it into the contract out of fear the producer's will use the mask to dissociate the actor from the superhero, making him easily replaceable.

But with Diesel, his voice has always been his trademark. This allows Marvel to write and design for the costume and not threaten the actor. Diesel knows once you use his voice in the part, he owns it. You don't have to see a myriad of facial expressions, because since Pitch Black it's what's made him distinguishable.
