Anyone see Batman vs. Moon Knight this morning? Or, if you just came in late, that might be what you thought you saw. They took Anarky from the comics (always in red) and made him look EXACTLY like classic Moon Knight from the 70s, minus the crescent moons symbol on his chest. Honestly, I think Marvel could sue...

I liked the second episode, but haven't watched the third.

Magpie was a villain created by John Byrne when he revamped Superman. She was the villain for the first meeting between Superman and Batman in the post crisis DCU, but little used after that.

The actual fight with Anarchy was fun to watch, one of the better animated fights I've seen. The costume was very Moon Knightish, but his face and hood reminded me of the Specter.

katanna's growing on me. Kinda hope she's a double agent for Ras or someone.

Magpie's design was kind of surprising. She had HUGE mostly bare breasts, especially for a Saturday morning TV show. They had an independent life of their own it seemed as well. It was more gratuitous than anything Timm ever snuck into his shows...and we know how he likes to draw the ladies.

I noticed Magpie's ample endowment. Looks like she had some work done compared to her first comics appearance.

I dont't think Timm is working on this show, but the producer and most if not all of the directors and writers all worked under him on previous shows. So his influence is there.

It seems like they are getting away with or being allowed to use more violence, too.

^Yeah, it's Glen Murakimi, who worked on STAS, TNBA and Batman Beyond, and then went on to showrun Teen Titans and the initial teen years of Ben 10.

Is Ben 10 any good. I've never watched it?

My son has watched it from day one. It's been through 3 incarnations...4 if you count the middle incarnation having two series names. The first incarnation is Ben as a 10 year old boy. Pretty fun stuff. The second version is Murakimi's teen years. The cast is aged 5 years, and the storylines are of a similar vein to the more serious episodes of Teen Titans, and the more light episodes of JLU. The latest version features short vignettes with the original 10-year old Ben, and the bulk of the show is about a redesigned teen Ben. It's much lighter and overall, less appealing, in my son's mind, and from what I've seen.

The basic premise is similar to Dial "H" for Hero, with aliens instead of super heroes. The original creators, Men of Action, are a group of comic pros, so I doubt the similarities are coincidental.

I completely agree with what Chris said about Ben 10. We've (my kids and I) have loved it from day 1 and I would highly recommend, but the latest series is just ok.

                      In regards to Young Justice:

The toyline failed because it was expensive.

Seriously, no one but an adult collector would pay those prices for those things... and to get the adult collector to buy them, they had to release the main characters they would care about.

As far as the show skewing too old for their demographics, duh. Kids what to watch shows of characters they know, or have been introduced to in a non-convoluted way. They like Batman and Superman, because they KNOW Batman and Superman.

They know Robin, and the Teen Titans... call the show TEEN TITANS.

I've missed a bunch of episodes (mostly due to not remembering what time it's on) but have gotten caught up this week thanks to On-Demand and man, it's turning out to be my favorite Batman series. There's great action, and an awesome ongoing story-arc (The League of Assassins one is turning out to be very interesting to say the least) with plenty of twists throughout. The animation is really slick, the music is intense and everybody does a great job voicing their characters (Anthony Ruivivar has really grown on me). I'm really looking to the Magpie one on the 26th.

And....stupid Cartoon Network has already pulled the plug. DC needs to go elsewhere for it's programs I think.

^It's pulled for now, but is supposed to return in January. According to World's Finest, the show is still in production.

CN is horrible for this. Remember when Justice League was essentially off the air for a year and a half between seasons?

They did the same thing to Young Justice and Green Lantern correct? I find it strange...
